How do I upload a file for use in my Brightspace module?
Each module in Brightspace has a folder containing all of the files for that module. This is a place where you can store videos, images and documents that aren't yet ready to be put into the Content area. It's also a way to share documents with lecturers or external examiners but not students.

Answer
In every Brightspace module on which you are a lecturer, you will be able to access the Control Panel. Within the control panel, you have a tool called Manage Files. All of the files used by your module are stored here. Most of the time, you will upload these as you create things in the Content area, and they will automatically go here.
Sometimes, it makes sense to directly upload them with Manage Files and drop them into your course if and when you need to. Here's how you do this:
- Within your module, click Control Panel.
- Select 'Manage Files'. (Note: your list of tools may be in a different order here. You can toggle between a list by category or by alphabetical order towards the top).
- Press the Upload button. If you're being organised, you might want to create a folder first by clicking the New Folder button to the left.
- Either drag and drop your file into the box, or click Upload.
- If it's a larger file, you will see a green loading bar as it uploads.
- When it's ready, it will show the file name without the loading bar. Click 'Save'.
- Later, depending on the type of file involved, you can add it into the Content area by selecting from anywhere that gives you the option to add from course offering files.
