Brightspace won't load properly. What do I do?

If Brightspace doesn’t seem to be working, there are a few things that you can do.

First off, try refreshing the web cache of the browser that you’re using. Instructions to do this are available on https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/ .

If that hasn’t worked, try a different browser on your device. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are available on most platforms. Microsoft’s Edge browser and Apple’s Safari browser are available to users of their devices.

If that also doesn’t work, restart your device. If you’re on low battery, this sometimes prevents Brightspace working properly, particularly on the mobile app.

If it’s still not working, load up https://brightspace.uos.ac.uk on a different device. This will tell you if it’s an issue related to your account or to the original device.

Sometimes, it’s because of the firewall on the network you’re using, particularly if it’s a business network or a public network. If it’s still not working, try it on a different network.
